All presenters are required to register and pay by Friday 18 October 2019. Please note early bird registration closes 14 October 2019.

Oral Presentations.

Please refer to the program schedule to view the day and time of your presentation.

The program is made up of four presentation platforms; symposia (75 minutes), standard oral (15 minutes), short oral (5 minutes) and 3 minute thesis competition entries.

  • For standard oral (15 minute presentations) you will have 12 minutes for your presentation and there will be three minutes for questions.
  • For short oral (5 minute presentations) you will have 4 minutes for your presentation and there will be one minute for questions. It is strongly recommend you use no more than 4 slides.
  • Entrants in the 3 minute thesis competition will have 3 minutes for their presentation and one slide.

Preparing your presentation

All session rooms will be equipped with a laptop (Windows 10 windows 10 and Office 2016), lectern, microphone, lapel microphone and data projector supplied by the Encore (in-house av contractor). It is recommended that you use Encore’s laptops and play back devices.

If you must use your own laptop, advise this office before Friday 15 November 2019. Ensure you bring the appropriate adaptors and please note that the venue will not provide any technical support for equipment it does not own and maintain.

The preferred method of presentation is via PowerPoint. PowerPoint presentations should be prepared in wide screen 16:9 (not standard 4:3 format). You must bring your presentation to the conference on USB Flash drive for it to be loaded onto the Conference system by an audiovisual technician in the speakers’ preparation room. Please have your presentation saved under your last/family name.

On Arrival

Presenters are requested to report to the registration desk on arrival. You will be directed to the speaker preparation area where your presentation will be uploaded and verified.If you have a MAC or special presentation requirements, please see the technical operators in the speaker preparation area for assistance. Meet with your session chairperson in the session room 10-15 minutes prior to the commencement of the session. If at all possible, please check your presentation material in the speaker preparation area well before your presentation time to avoid any problems when you present.

Poster Presentations

Posters should be no larger than AO portrait size i.e. 841mm wide [left to right] x 1189mm high [top to bottom]. Please ensure your poster does not exceed 841mm wide. Posters will be displayed at a designated site in the exhibition hall. Staff at the registration desk will provide instructions.

Posters can be erected between 8.00am and 10.30am Wednesday 4 December 2019. Posters must be taken down after morning tea and before 2.00pm Friday 6 December 2019.

Hanging and Removing your Poster

Your poster needs to be hung using Velcro (hook, or ‘male’ velcro) which will be supplied by the organisers. The organisers accept no responsibility for damage to, or loss of posters.
