Welcome

tramOn behalf of the Health Services Research Association of Australia and New Zealand (HSRAANZ), I am pleased to invite you to our biennial Health Services and Policy Research Conference.

The Conference

The conference will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Monday 7 December to Wednesday 9 December 2015 and will be our ninth Conference, following on from our successful 2013 Conference held in Wellington, New Zealand.

The conference’s mixture of international and local speakers and in-depth educational offerings will leave you informed and inspired. There will also be plenty of opportunity for delegate contribution and discussion making the 9th Health Services and Policy Research Conference a “must attend” event for all in the health services research community.

The Theme

The conference theme this year is “From data to delivery: Connecting research, policy and practice for better health outcomes.” Health services research is all about making a difference to how we go about achieving health. The 2015 international conference will focus on the interface between research, practice and policy, with the ultimate aim of using research to improve health outcomes for society. The conference will bring together a variety of disciplines including medicine, health policy, health economics, public health, health promotion, epidemiology, informatics and sociology. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing contributions.

Health Services Research Association of Australia and New Zealand

restaurantThe purpose of the Health Services Research Association of Australia and New Zealand (HSRAANZ) is to facilitate communication across researchers, and between researchers and policymakers, to promote education and training in health services research, and to ensure sustainable capacity in health services research in Australia and New Zealand.

Our Conferences are the focal point of the Association’s activities, which also includes ongoing workshops, seminars and working behind the scenes to promote health services research to research funding agencies and policymakers.
